Trying something new:

2nd cycle post miscarriage #3

Last cycle was the D&C and I wasn't sure if I ovulated because I didn't know to reset the monitor and all I got was "low" readings. Today I saw a nurse at the EAGeR study and she showed me the printout of my monitor levels. It didn't read any highs or peaks because I didn't reset it properly but the numbers it gave did show a peak on around the 5th or 6th, a day or two before the temp shift on my chart. She said that my luteal phase (LP) was too short that month for an eggie to implant though. According to the peak days though my LP is the same length it usually is which makes my theory of a slight LP defect true.

I started the soy last night and this morning got a "high" reading on CD 4. When the nurse saw it she said I was having an estrogen surge (from the soy I'm assuming) and that it will continue to read "high" until I peak. GREAT....That means lots of BD (baby dancing) until I see a peak and temp shift and I have no clue when I'll O since I changed things up and it's my first real cycle post M/C. I'm thinking that trying the soy was a bad idea but I've already started so I'm just going to do it for a few more days and hope it gives me a stronger ovulation with more mature follicles.

So...here's what I've decided to do differently this month.
-Taking Soy Isoflavones, 120mg on CD 3-6.
-Taking 100mg B6 to try and extend LP.
-Using progesterone cream after confirmed ovulation.
-PreSeed (worked first try last time)
- Already taking folic acid and aspirin or placebo.
- Already using Clear Blue Easy Monitor

Maybe, just maybe this is why I keep miscarrying. I'm hoping that extending my LP by a few days and the extra progesterone help will make a better environment for a developing baby. Of course I still don't know if I'm on aspirin or placebo, but as soon as this study is over in 4 more months, I'll be taking 81mg of aspirin daily.

Oh, and I got a new job that I start on the 30th. I'll let you know how it goes!

Fingers crossed for this month.

Follow up

I had my follow up appointment after the D&C with Dr. Sloan (OBGYN) this afternoon. She said that there were no complications during the procedure and that there was quite a bit of tissue left so she was glad she did the D&C. The pathologist called her office afterward and said that the tissue had characteristics of a molar pregnancy. Soo...it may or may not have been a molar pregnancy. She said she already did the basic tests for RPL so sent me on my way. Basically we are supposed to keep trying and hope for better luck next time. The HCG blood test came back negative.

I'm discouraged, dissapointed, and losing hope fast.

Steven and I are still fighting and I'm sure most of it is my fault.

Life sucks.
